A “Mommy Makeover” is a combination of surgical procedures designed to help restore a woman’s shape after her body has undergone pregnancy, childbirth, and/or nursing. Pregnancy, delivery, and breastfeeding may cause different concerns for different women, therefore a “Mommy Makeover” will be unique for each patient.
Mommy Makeovers usually combine some form of breast surgery and body contouring surgery and may include some combination of a Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift, Breast Implants, Liposuction, Lower Body Lift, and/or Brazilian Butt Lift.
Loose Skin, Loss of Muscle Tone, and Excess Fat
Many women find their abdomens have permanently changed after pregnancy. These changes may include stretch marks, loss of abdominal muscle tone, excess skin, and extra fat deposits that have accumulated since giving birth. Because the muscles of your abdominal wall are permanently separated after pregnancies, and because loose skin is a matter of elasticity and not exercise, a million sit-ups will not help!
